The memory that i will always carry with me from Coach Potter is... All the intense dryland after Saturday night games. Everyone hating it while doing it but at the end of the year loving how much it paid off. I will always remember how hard Rob pushed us. And when we had late night dryland and the rink guys turned off the lights and Rob refused to send us home. He was like "you guys can go, I'll lock up". The best advice my parents gave me is... Just keep trying it will come, keep working hard. My mom always tell me "It's all in your heart". Advice I would give to the younger players is... Start early, work as hard as you can when you are young, it will pay off in the end. You can never be the best, there is something you can improve on. The person that has most influenced my hockey career is... All the girls, especially my older teammates when I started high school in 8th grade influenced my hockey career. They pushed me and helped me enjoy hockey without them my hockey career wouldn't be the same. To me, the "Cardinal Code" means... The Cardinal Code to me means being a team player. It's about trying your hardest to better the team. It is all the individual awards into one big award given to everyone, since there is no "I" in team.
Dear Mom and Dad, Thank you for supporting me in hockey since I started. It means so much to me having parents like you that care. You guys always are optimistic, telling me all the positive things even when I think I played a bad game. Thank you for being so involved in our team and helping raise money, setting up events and just being there in the stands cheering us on. You guys are always at all my games, something has to be pretty important for you guys to miss one, I appreciate it greatly. Thanks for all the money you invested in hockey for me, the money was well spent. You are the best parents anyone could ask for, I'm not sure I say thank you enough, thanks for everything!! Love, Jenn
Dear JY, It is hard to believe this is your 5th year as a high school hockey player. You have come along way from the "diaper/preteen" line in eighth grade to a captain and leader of the Cardinals. Not only have we enjoyed watching you; we have formed many great friendships with players and parents along the way. Some relationships that are not for a season, but for a lifetime. We will never forget the Friday Night at Excel in the State semi-finals when Shell passed the puck to you and you popped it in past the Roseville goalie and the Cardinals advanced to the finals! You are your teammates have left a mark on Cardinal Girls' Hockey that will never be forgotten. Your family and community are extremely proud of your accomplishments, the way your team has created incredible Cardinal Pride, your commitment to the sport and the bright future you have in college hockey. We love you JY! Mom, Dad, & Jack.
